Well, I don't think it will be a disaster for the Java language& Salaries... some times students like us will have to pay more for their services... But the major problem is with MySQL. Since MySQL is part of Sun, when Oracle buys it, there's no guarantee that MySQL will be there more... they'll try to develop Java+Oracle, I believe. Another issue, we use NetBeans for free now. Will Oracle choose Sun's IDE or their own IDE??? If it's the latter, then we have to spend money to get it :(
